which you can search by title, author, subject, or number such as for the Henderson directories, and by key word
In the Peel - The Henderson Directory: Peel 2962. And the various years are noted as 2962.1; 2962.2; etc

The Alberta Heritage Digitization Project from the Uof Calgary, it has local histories, including the place names of Alberta books, newspapers, Calgary Stampede History, medical history, book collections in various languages too and more: http://www.ourfutureourpast.ca The local history can be searched by author, subject, title and key word, but not the newspapers. Not all the local histories are there, but many of the older ones are.
For rare books, see Our Roots/Nos Racines, searcheable by key word. http://www.ourroots.ca For instance St. Albert’s Black Robe’s Vision is there, and is easily accessible.
