The area around 118th Avenue is very diverse, rich with history, art and culture.

North Central Edmonton includes the neighbourhoods of Alberta Avenue, Delton, Eastwood, Elmwood Park, Parkdale-Cromdale, Spruce Avenue and Westwood.

The area is undergoing revitalization in both the business district and residential neighbourhoods. A new streetscape on 118th Avenue is underway. Character homes are being restored and infill development is replacing empty lots and derelict buildings.

Walk down 118th Avenue and you'll see bakeries, cafes, a variety of ethnic restaurants, second-hand shops, art galleries and more.

Young families, seniors, immigrants; artists, professionals, working class - you'll find them all in north central Edmonton.

Several major institutions and attractions border the area - Northlands Park, Borden Park, Commonwealth Stadium, Royal Alexandria Hospital, General Rehabilitation Hospital, Kingsway Garden Mall and NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology).

There is quick access to downtown via the LRT, a paved multi-use trail and four major streets - 82 St, 95 St, 97 St and 101 St.
